White People A Little Too Excited About Robot Slurs
A recent internet trend has taken over social media in response to the ever-growing presence of AI. However, once again, white people have taken it too far.
We’re getting a little too excited about having a slur accepted by society. That will come to an end soon enough, especially with all these tik tok sketches flying around.
What started as a way to fight against the overwhelming presence of AI and the erasure of human creativity, quickly turned into a way for white people to reenact the Jim Crow era. It’s one thing to refer to Grok as a “clanker” and another to say, “We don’t serve wirebacks, here.”
Any opportunity to use a word that has a hard “-er” at the end is opportunity enough for us white folks. Next thing you know, your friend Jimmy has forgotten the word “computer” altogether. Don’t be surprised, he’s definitely familiar with using slurs, just maybe not around you.
Next thing you know we’ll have robot rights activists telling us that being anti-robot is worse than being a regular racist. And frankly, I might be inclined to start agreeing.
I don’t want any ill will between me and our possible future overlords
