Daughter Mooches Kindly.

A daughter mooched kindly this past fateful weekend.

A day trip spent with mother.

Books bought, clothes bought, food also bought.

Charge the Visa,

Mom, I love ya.

Same daughter mooched last week too.

A bike ride with Pa,

Ending in a trip to Trader Joe’s.

(He has to buy peanut butter and trail mix)

“Oh sure, why don’t you throw

this week’s groceries into the cart, daughter?”

“Okay fine but only because you offered!”

An earned mooch, a mooch with love.

A mooch that says,

“Mama, Pa, you care for me

I will care for you

One day too

And I won’t put you in a home even.

And if I do put you in a home,

It’ll be one of the really, really good ones (older brother will pay).”
